Lavender Court in Kendray and Westmeads in Royston provide the first two Extracare homes in Barnsley.

Extracare links accommodation with care and is seen as a way forward to provide older people with their own high quality apartments whilst at the same time having access to a personal care package which is close at hand.

The main aim is to give people the support they need in an environment that promotes their independence.

TLC Homecare Ltd. provides the personal care to both of these Extracare complexes.
